Not Sure What To Think Of This...

The Star reports that Mr. Dion will announce his stepping down as leader later today.  If this is the case, I would like to thank Mr. Dion for his term as leader, and sincerely hope he stays on as a key part of the team.  Policy is a strong suit for him, and we can certainly use his talent.

I also might ad that Mr. Dion's quick decision (one way or the other) will be best for the party.  Better to know sooner than later.

IMPLORE THE PARTY TO CHANGE THE WAY LEADERSHIP CONTESTS ARE HELD, TO ENSURE WE DO NOT ENGAGE THE TYPE OF DEBT WE HAVE IN THE PAST, AND TO ENSURE THE CONTEST IS INCLUSIVE OF ALL LIBERALS.

I agree completely if we are to have a new leader it needs to before Christmas.
The comment below was in a piece by Adam Radwanski in the G&M, I'm not sure if its correct if so it should be seriously considered.

"The second option would be to forego participatory democracy for efficiency. Rather than holding an open leadership convention, the Liberal caucus - or some combination of the caucus and party executives - could choose a new leader itself."
